Saturday, the Cumulus Media family of radio stations spent a lovely afternoon at Back 9 Golf & Entertainment with our friends at Helping Veterans and Families, a local non-profit organization that assists in transitioning veterans from homelessness back into housing. They were volunteering their time to spread the message of the organization and oversee a silent auction. No one could possibly know that hours later they would face unimaginable tragedy. Their housing unit in downtown Indy would have a catastrophic fire. 48 of 51 units were destroyed. A fire is devastating to anyone, but to those who don’t have much, it’s catastrophic and devastating.
Can you help our friends help their friends? Helping Veterans and Families are seeking community donations to rebuild and re-house VETERANS and are, also, looking to have items bought for these veterans via Amazon wish lists.
